Claudio is an Honorary Professor of Business Administration and the Executive Director of the MBA Programme. He has been a member of the University of St. Gallen's executive education committee since 2019. He lectures on innovation, decision-making, and leadership in various programs at the University of St. Gallen and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, ETH Zurich.
Before joining the University of St. Gallen, Claudio was a Senior Partner at McKinsey & Company, holding several leadership positions. Among those, he was the Managing Partner of McKinsey Greece and McKinsey Switzerland, he led McKinsey's global leadership development practice, and he was a member of the Shareholders Council, the firm's global board of directors.
Claudio holds an M.A. in Business Administration and Economics from the University of Berne and an MBA from INSEAD. Claudio is also a published author who has written extensively on innovation, decision-making, and leadership. His books, essays, articles, and cases have been published with Wiley, Nicholas Brealey Publishing, Harvard Business Press, Oxford University Press, Nature, and the McKinsey Quarterly.
Claudio is married and has two sons. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, reading, and playing sports. He also enjoys long walks with Ellie, the family's dog.
Born in Basel and raised in Italy, Claudio studied in Berne and now lives in the canton of Schwyz. He is a Swiss citizen and speaks German, English, Italian, and French.
